I started Enbrel on 17 August - it worked immediately! Had my first blood test on Monday & on Wednesday my nurse rang me to say my white blood count is through the floor, no drugs at all this week. She rang again Thursday after discussing the situation with my consultant & if my bloods are ok next Monday I am to recommence mtx but it's unlikely I will go back on the Enbrel. Has anyone else been in this situation? Does this mean I won't be able to take anti-TNF at all because it suppressed my immune system too much? I am really upset because the Enbrel is the only thing I've take that has had any effect at all (previously also had sulphasalazine).
